MENSTRUAL CUPS
NORMA is the comfortable and convenient Made in Italy cup, with a consistency tested and approved by 1,000 users of our community.
The most beautiful thing, during the menstrual cycle, when menstruation arrives, is being able to count on a welcoming but also solid and reliable friend. A friend who listens to us and knows how to contain in a soft embrace all that we let go on bloody days. The NORMA cup is the friend we were looking for!
HOW WAS IT BORN?
When designing the NORMA cup, we asked ourselves what was the right consistency to combine comfort and hold: the 1,000 users who have tried and approved NORMA have told us that our cup is the right balance between the hardness and softness of other cups on the market.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
As with long-term friends it takes some time to get to know her and get to know her but, after the first phase of adaptation, you can always count on her.
NORMA collects blood from a super absorbent pad three times. Furthermore, thanks to the perfectly adherent edges, it prevents the leakage of blood which could cause unpleasant odors.
The NORMA cup preserves the vaginal pH.
If after menstruation you are more prone to dryness, irritation, candida and bad smells, these are caused by disposable principals. In addition to blood, these products also absorb vaginal secretions that protect us from the invasion of potentially pathogenic bacteria.
The NORMA cup is convenient.
The medical grade silicone we chose is durable and strong. How much do you save? Let's consider that on average around 60 euros are spent a year on sanitary pads while you buy the NORMA cup only once and it lasts for years.
The NORMA cup is ecological.
A traditional sanitary pad takes 500 years to disintegrate, shocking isn't it? Use the NORMA cup during flow days, for years following the care instructions.
WHICH SIZE TO CHOOSE
Vaginal muscle tone varies over time, so choose size M if you are under 30 and have not had children.
Instead, choose size L if you are over 30 or at any age if you have given birth.
If this is your first time using a cup, we advise you to choose the SOFT because it is easier to insert and extract. If you are a sportswoman you probably have more toned muscles so we recommend the HARD cup.
First, be patient the first few times. On average it can take up to three cycles to get used to the cup.
ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE INSERT THE NORMA CUP
FOLD AND INSERT THE NORMA CUP
CUT THE STEM ON THE FIRST USE
Once the cup is inserted comfortably, in the lowest possible position, the stem end should remain just inside the vagina. Since the length of the vaginal canal varies from person to person, the stem has been designed to be able to cut it on first use according to need. Once correctly positioned, the NORMA cup must be comfortable in both sitting and standing positions. If you feel discomfort then you probably need to cut the stem further.
Before use
Boil the NORMA CUP for 5/7 minutes in plenty of water to sterilize it.
During the menstrual flow
Always wash your hands before inserting the NORMA CUP. Wash the NORMA CUP with water and neutral soap every time it is emptied, if you are away from home use only water and boil it as soon as possible.
After the menstrual flow
Wash the cup with warm water and mild soap. Boil for 5/7 minutes in plenty of water.
Let it air dry. Store it in a dry place.
Hole cleaning
The 4 holes in the upper part of the cup are essential for it to adhere well to the walls of the cervix. For good functioning of the NORMA® CUP, make sure they are always open and not blocked. If necessary, use a needle or pin and pass it through each hole being careful not to damage the cup.
Do not leave the NORMA CUP unattended when it is boiling.
Do not leave the NORMA CUP exposed to the sun.
Do not store the NORMA CUP in plastic or where it cannot "breathe".
Do not sterilize the NORMA CUP in the dishwasher.
Do not use perfumed or aggressive soaps to wash the NORMA CUP.
